For the performance measurement of our programmatic digital advertising campaigns with AdForm A/S (“AdForm”), we use the help of AdForm Site Tracking cookie to recognize you when you visit specific webpage(s) on our site during a live digital programmatic advertising campaign. This cookie merely serves to recognise that you clicked on one of our programmatic adverts and were thus rerouted to designated webpage(s) on our site. In this way, we find out the total number of users who have clicked on our programmatic advert and been forwarded to our website. The information compiled is used strictly for statistics. These statistics provide us with insight into how frequently our webpage(s) is/are visited throughout the duration of a programmatic advertising campaign, where exactly visitors spend most of their time, which products on our webpages are most viewed, etc. However, we don’t receive any information with which the users could be personally identified, and we will never trace any statistics to individuals personally. You can likewise adapt the settings so that your browser refuses all cookies or only third-party cookies. You can also remove any cookies that have already been placed. Please note that you will have to separately adapt the settings for each browser, mobile device, and computer you use. Each browser has a different method to adapt the settings. If necessary, consult your browser’s “Help” section, or go to your browser’s manual. If you wish to disconnect cookies of specific parties, you can do this through www.youronlinechoices.eu In addition, most advertising networks offer you a way to opt out of targeted advertising. 1.2.5 Google AdWords

For performance measurement for our advertising campaign with Google (“Google AdWords”), we use the aid of Google Conversion Tracking, a Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”) analysis service. In the process, Google AdWords places a cookie on your computer (“conversion cookie”), if you arrived at our website via a Google advert. These cookies cease to be valid after 30 days and do not serve as personal identification. They merely serve to recognise that you clicked on one of our adverts and were thus rerouted to our site. In this way, we find out the total number of users who have clicked on our advert and been forwarded to our website. However, we don’t receive any information with which the users could be personally identified.

Via the performance measurement described, Google receives personal data, which is also stored and processed by servers in the USA. Currently, there is no ruling from the EU Commission that the USA in general provides an adequate level of data privacy protection. Google has, however, made a committment to adhere to the Privacy Shield Agreement between the EU and the USA on the processing of personal data from EU member states published by the US Department of Commerce. Further information can be found here: policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks. Further information on data protection at Google can be found at policies.google.com/privacy.

If you do not wish to take part in the tracking procedure, you can deactivate it through the ads preference manager (http://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/?hl=en), or refuse placing a cookie by adjusting your browser settings. You can also deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain “googleadservices.com”.

The legal basis for the appropriate processing of your data is Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR (balancing of interests, based on our legitimate interest in measuring the success of our online advertising in order to manage it better).

2. Individual services

2.1 Contact Form

Our website also features a contact form, allowing you to get in touch with us if you would like us to answer any of your questions individually. In any event, we will collect your first and last name and your e-mail address so that we can contact you. If you give us your phone number, we will also be happy to call you back to answer your query.

All data are exclusively used for answering your query; they will be used neither for sales conversations nor otherwise for promotional purposes.

We would be happy to inform you about any data we have stored relating to you. For further details, please read section “Information and Contact”.

The legal basis for the appropriate processing of your data is Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR (contract performance or steps prior to entering into a contract) and Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR (balancing of interests, based on our legitimate interest in answering the enquiries of our customers and other interested parties).

2.2 Newsletters

We also offer you the possibility to subscribe or unsubscribe to further newsletters on our products and special offers. For registration and so that we can address you personally, we collect your title, first name and surname. We also collect your e-mail address so that we can verify your registration and send you the newsletter. The data collected during registration is only used for mailing the newsletters. The collected data is not given to uninvolved external companies for their own use, nor is it passed on to any other third parties. If further data is collected while registering for a special offer, the same applies to this data as set out in the specific data protection notices for the special offer.

We are always striving to improve our newsletter and our offers. This also includes statistical evaluation of newsletter mailing, e.g. how many e-mails were sent in total, how many of those were opened and how often the links embedded in the newsletter were clicked on in total. This is a non-personal evaluation; we therefore do not check whether individual newsletters were opened or which links were clicked on from which e-mail address.

In the context of the newsletter registration you agree to the use of your data as described. This consent can be revoked at any time for the future and the mailing of the newsletter can be objected to at any time. This is easiest via the link in the newsletter, where unsubscribing is again described. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

The legal basis for the processing of your data described in this section is Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR in connection with your consent.

2.3 Contests and raffles

You can participate in competitions and prize draws on our website. In order to be able to offer this service, we collect personal data from you that is necessary before participation. This usually includes your name, e-mail and postal addresses, and in some cases also your telephone number. This data is used solely for carrying out and managing the competition. Following participation, you will not receive any adverts from HiPP. If you are interested in receiving our newsletter, you can register for this separately.

We sometimes publish the names of the winners on our website. Some of the prizes are provided by partner companies. As far as is necessary for the redemption or delivery of the prizes, we provide our partners with the relevant personal data for processing the competition or prize draw, such as your name or your e-mail address or postal address. With some competitions or prize draws, entry requires you to perform additional tasks. In this case, we log whether all conditions for entry are fulfilled to allow for fair running of the competition or prize draw and to protect against misuse of the respective technical functions.

The legal basis for the processing of data described in this section is Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR (contract performance or steps prior to entering into a contract).

3. Social media

Our page on the social media platforms (Facebook) also offer you extensive personal support services and the possibility to stay in contact with us. These social media services also collect personal data, e.g. about the profile you have created or via so-called social plug-ins that are implemented in third-party webpages.

If you send us an enquiry using any of these social media platforms, we will forward the enquiry to the responsible department. The data will exclusively be used to answer your enquiry and will not be forwarded to third parties.

To be able to get in touch with us via social media, you have to register with these services first. For this purpose, the companies behind the service in question will record, store and use personal data if required. We have no influence on the nature, the scope and the processing of such data. This also applies to any images/videos uploaded to social media. Please note that the rights might be transferred to the social media services. You will find the details in the terms and conditions of use and the privacy policy of the respective service provider.

These are services provided by companies based in the U.S.:

Facebook Inc. (1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA)

If you open a webpage belonging to our website which contains such a plug-in, your browser will establish a direct connection to the servers of the respective enterprises. The contents of the plug-in are transmitted directly to your browser and integrated in the website. We therefore have no influence on the scope of data which the enterprises in question record with the help of such plug-ins. The information we are therefore providing to you is based on our current knowledge:

By integrating the plug-ins, the respective companies obtain the information that you have accessed certain pages of our Internet offering. If you are already logged into one of the aforementioned enterprises, these are able to assign your visit to the relevant account you have created with them. If you interact using the plug-ins, your browser will send the relevant information directly to the respective company where it is stored. In case you have no user account with any of the aforementioned companies, there is still a chance that they become aware of your IP address and store it.

So it cannot be ruled out that each visitor of our website is detected by the aforementioned enterprises on the basis of their IP address and the URL accessed, even if the visitor neither clicks on the plug-ins nor is registered with the enterprise with a user account.

To find out more about the purpose and scope of the data collection and further processing and the use of the data by these enterprises and your rights and possibilities in this regard and which settings protect your private sphere, please refer to the privacy policies provided by:

Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php

4. Storage period

Personal data is only stored by us as long as is necessary to achieve the aims stated here and for as long as is legally allowed.

5. Your rights

On request, we will tell you if and which (if applicable) data on you we have stored. Insofar as the legal requirements are fulfilled, you have a right to the rectification, blocking or deletion of this data.

You furthermore have the right to receive the data that applies to you and which you have provided us with, in a structured, common and machine-readable form from us; you can pass on (or have passed on on your behalf) this data to other authorities.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the regulatory authority responsible for data protection.

Should you not (or no longer) be in a position to make decisions concerning your personal data, we promise to always respect your instructions and your will in this respect.
