Hygiene

Bottles and teats must be thoroughly cleaned after each meal and sterilised.

1. After each meal, clean bottles and accessories with a brush.

2. Rinse teat, rub with salt and rinse again.

3. Rubber teats should be boiled every now and then (not necessary with silicone teats).

4. Until the next use, keep in a clean tea towel or closed container. Check the condition of the teats regularly. Rubber teats can become porous. Bite and scratch marks on silicone teats are a sign of damage. For safety’s sake they should be exchanged immediately. Please do not sterilise plastic measuring spoons for milk formula powder and do not wash them in the dishwasher. The spoon doesn’t usually have to be washed.
If necessary, wash the spoon by hand and dry it well. Damaged spoons should no longer be used. If necessary, you can ask for a new measuring spoon for HiPP Milk Formulae at HiPP’s parents’ service centre.
